Shelvey And Matt Richie Extend Contract With Newcastle Till 2023.

Newcastle United disclosed that  Jonjo Shelvey and Matt Ritchie have extended their contract with the club till 2023. The midfielder Shevley, the leading scorer in the Premier League this season with five goals has shown up for the club in all competition.

The 30-year-old winger, Thomas Richie who got signed to the Magpies for £12m in the year 2016 has also  scored 22 goals in 139 appearances in all competitions. 
Shevley who was becoming undesirable last season has been increasingly playing his best this time. The winger Matt Richie undergoes second ankle operation as he  sustained the injury following a challenge by Leceister midfielder Hamza Choudhury and was forced to have an initial surgical procedure in October.

He has come back to fitness and has played 10 matches since he has gotten well. Steve Bruce, the coach of Newcastle disclosed that he is delighted to secure the pair's future at the club at a news conference ahead of Saturday's Premier League match at Southampton.

 Bruce said: "They've been awesome over the last few years and I've been fortunate enough to acquire them. Fortunately, there has been a great decision about it. "They've both been here almost four years now and a major make-up of the group.
