Singer, Iledare Olajuwonlo-James popularly known as Jaywon, has been arrested by the police for violating the curfew order issued over the COVID-19 pandemic.


 This incident which is not the first as Funke Akindele and Abdulrasheed Bello ( the couple had hosted a birthday party at their home in Lagos with a large number of people in attendance as against the guidelines ordered by the state were  sentenced to 14 days community service as well as N100,000 fine each for violating the COVID-19 lockdown measures in Lagos.


 The singer was reportedly intercepted by police officers monitoring the curfew order at about 11 PM on Monday, May 4, 2020.

The “This Year” Crooner was then taken to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence DepartmentPantiYaba, where he was charged before a mobile court after his statement had been taken.



The singer was arraigned before a magistrate court on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, where he pleaded guilty and the presiding magistrate ordered him to pay a sum of N10,000.
He was also sentenced to do community service for 30 minutes.The singer was reportedly one of the 179 people apprehended by the police for beating the curfew and refusing to wear face masks .

The Lagos state government had issued a curfew order on the state as part of measures to gradually ease the lockdown due to coronavirus.
