During a briefing by the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 in Abuja, the minister for State For Education, Emeka Nwajuiba, disclosed that the WAEC has decided that the West African Senior School Certificate Examination will now commence on 4th  August till the 5th of September.

He went to disclosed that the Chairman of PTF(Parent Teachers Forum) has earlier announced that school facilities will be available for those who want to go for revision classes before the WASSCE exam.

The Minister of State for Education said the students now have a whole month to prepare for the exam. The WAEC has over 190000 centers in the country for the exam and that at the conclusion of the exam, NECO and NABTEB will surely follow.

He likewise expressed that the Ministry of Education would meet with authorities of the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, the Nigeria Union of Teachers and different partners.

He said these are the things they will be taking into consideration in stakeholder meeting with NCDC, Nigeria union of teachers and everybody will be at the concluding stakeholders meeting tomorrow and these dates for the WAEC exam are what we are going to take into the meeting. 

So,  for now the WAEC Timetable is not out and the Students should stay aware to be notified when the timetable will be out.

"We are proceeding with enlistments for NECO for the individuals who have not finished up enrollment thusly, this is the time likewise to refresh and complete your enlistment," he included.
